Fulton, Illinois, has experienced a great amount of economic development the past few
years including a new hotel, a revitalized downtown, industry expansion, dedication of a
new athletic park, new fire station, and even the recent announcement of a state grant to
build a new museum near our Dutch windmill. Many of these accomplishments do not
happen by chance; it is because of dedicated staff, community leaders and volunteers
who have a vision for making their hometown a better place.
The community has many exciting and challenging new projects on
the horizon in which local leaders have played an active role;
advocating for the four lane expansion of US Route 30, the future
construction of a new railroad bridge over the Mississippi River,
supporting local efforts to build an ethanol plant, and assisting
several new businesses in our industrial park.
Fulton offers several attractions such as unique retail shops in the historic downtown,
an authentic Dutch windmill, an 1850s village in Heritage Canyon, a bike trail and
numerous city parks. The friendly citizens and volunteers of Fulton are dedicated to
making the region a good place to raise a family or start a business.
